SAML offers a web-based single sign-on for access to numerous services without the need to re-enter login data every time. The SSO mechanism takes over the authentication transparently in the background.
On 18th November 2013, Univention released Univention Corporate Server 3.2. This major release is characterised by an overall improved user guidance concept via a completely revised UCS start page and a revised Univention Management Console (UMC) overview page.
Univention have just developed and released a single sign-on solution for logging on to different important web services like Dropbox or Google Apps. It is called SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) and is available via the Univention App Center.
